Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) the following:
This position will include a combination of in-office responsibilities during the week and on-site support at weekend league events. The role is multifaceted, encompassing marketing, operations, and coaching to support the successful execution of our youth sports programs. The hourly requirement for the role will be dictated by any educational requirements but most internships are either part time 15+/- hours a week or full time 40+/- hours a week.

Assist in the Development of the Marketing Plan
Collaborate with Athletic Director to create a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with organizational goals. Participate in brainstorming sessions, campaign planning, and timeline development to drive program enrollment and community engagement.

Conduct Market Research
Gather and analyze data on local demographics, competitor offerings, and community needs to inform strategic decisions. Identify emerging trends and new opportunities to better reach and serve target audiences.

Guerilla Marketing
Participate in creative, on-the-ground promotional efforts such as flyer distribution, yard sign placement, and tabling at local events. Serve as a brand ambassador in the community to generate awareness and drive registration.

Partnership Development
Support outreach to local businesses, schools, and organizations to build partnerships that enhance program visibility and community impact. Assist in the preparation of proposals and coordination of collaborative efforts.

Assist with Site Management at League Venues
Provide logistical support during weekend game days, ensuring a smooth, organized, and positive experience for players, families, and staff. Responsibilities may include set-up, coaching and officiating, customer service, and venue oversight.

Inventory Management
Monitor, track, and organize sports equipment and uniforms. Assist in preparing supply orders, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring all materials are available and in good condition for events and camps.

Analyze Customer Feedback
Collect and review participant and parent feedback to identify areas of improvement in operations and service delivery. Work with Program Manager to develop actionable insights that enhance the overall customer experience.

Coach Recruitment
Assist in identifying, recruiting, and onboarding volunteer and paid coaches for various sports programs. Support training efforts to ensure coaches align with the organization’s values and coaching philosophy.

Provide Instruction to Youth Ages 3–14
Deliver age-appropriate sports instruction across multiple sports, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and fun. Foster a positive and encouraging environment that aligns with the organization's mission to build character through sports.
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply
- Currently enrolled in a university degree relevant to the position, i.e. sports management, etc.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Self-motivated, hard worker
- Calm under pressure
- Positive, dynamic, energetic and friendly attitude
- Must be able to pass background check
Compensation: This is an unpaid internship with relevant expenses reimbursed.
